Or possibly, by leveling, i can eliminate the minor detours for not so necessary upgrades. By EXP numbers, the later the better but its one of those strange balancing acts :-\ Figure as well that if i'm going to go out of the way to get some exp (still just figuring it while doing my test times) i should grab an item or 2 that i wouldn't normally grab by going on my fastest paths. A few fights in day 3 or 4 or early 5 (doubt this option though). The further into the game I go, the more troublesome planning gets! The first few levels you can squeak by without picking up hardly anything but then there are some items you just cant pass up! I'll post again when i have something significant to show.

With day 3 i have done without getting into too much trouble but i am going to have to check if a little bit of leveling (just a few battles) will shave off some time in later levels. Days 1 and 2 I am pretty much set, police station is almost perfect, the boss is the only real trouble dodging because of his wide sweeping moves.
Still testing my routes, weapon upgrading, and trying to perfect dodging attacks. Also, day 5 is so ridiculously long i know that may be 2-3 segments without even getting that far yet XD. When i plan this game, i try to do one day at a time (no pun intended.) It has so much to do per day that I really cant do too much overall planning other than "what weapons and weapon traits and i going to grab?" "how many tools is this going to take?" and the same for armor. The final one is almost unavoidable if you want to kill him in any reasonable amount of time. The best strategy i can come up with is to injure any head that pops up, not focusing on any one specifically and try to down them all around the same time. Depending on how long the central park section of the level takes, i may save before the boss as there always seems to be a bit of luck involved in his fight. In the maze-like section of day 2 its faster to not follow the little girl hallucination as that direction causes you to come out further from a tool that is on my way to the boss, I may be able to skip that tool in the center of that box shaped path if it gives me the tool next to the revive (60% chance according to my guide). In preparation of day 3 i pick up a revive in central park because its quicker than grabbing the one in the market at SOHO. There are a few things i may have to test on day 2, my first attempt through when i was still using VHS i would grab a few items after the zoo section on day 2. Not entirely, I have a fairly good handle on days 1-3. Hope to have day 2 complete and up soon! ::) I just figure for time and sanity sake, i'll waste the 5 seconds it takes to segment the day rather than have to retry 25 minutes over and over i'd rather retry the relevant part. Even when i do, i end up having the worst battle luck and have to heal so many times that my current segment 1 is really the best i think i'm going to see, even though saving did waste like 5 seconds.ĭay 2 has been giving me a TON of trouble as i believe Lord VG said it would so I decided to split it into (a minimum of) 2 segments, the first 12 minutes of level is just text scrolling and running around before the central park zone where you are actually playing. I cannot make it no matter how hard i try. Unfortunately this whole time i have been attempting to improve day 1, even do it without saving but to no avail. I'm not going through the hassle of splitting it to 3 pieces and putting it on youtube, but just trust that it looks great when you do side by side comparisons ^_^. I have fixed the brightness on segment 1 so you can ACTUALLY SEE. Okay so i know i haven't updated in a while but here is a quick little summary of whats been going on in my running of this evil game.
